Thank you....it's aparently a foreign word

So, I'm back and totally on a rant. How many of you were taught to say thank you when you were growing up. Apparently all of us weren't, which first off is a sad SAD thing and second sucks for the rest of us. I'm so tired of doing things for people and never receiving a thanks. I don't ever expect to be paid back in any way shape or form because I'm just not that type of person, the only thing I expect back in a thank you. A simple, easy, two worded phrase. Why is it that we aren't taught to be great full for what we get? Why is it that I run into people and have friends who have nothing and are begging their families for things for their children, and then BITCH that it was the wrong kind. I mean seriously, get off your high horse and learn, beggars can't be choosers and dear god if you are begging BE THANKFUL for what you get. I know that many of my military friends know that we seriously don't make a lot, and there are times that we have to ask family for money or to have them send certain things to us, well why is it that I know people who seriously bitch about the help they get? It seriously blows my mind. I don't know if I just took the lesson to be great full to heart, or what, but I know that I'm always saying thank you....thank you for EVERYTHING. Why is it that nice people let themselves get walked all over? I'm done being that nice person. I'm still going to be nice and offer help but trust me, if a simple thank you is too hard for someone to repay, then it'll be the last time that I do something for them. I'm tired of giving of myself and no one is thankful for it. It's such a sad sad world when people who know what you are going through and your situation aren't thankful for your help. It makes me sick honestly.

    I'm done ranting for now.

It's been WAY too long. Just a quick update before bed!! Abbi is great...we are potty training her and she gets a little better everyday! Adam is wonderful!! He's getting closer to becoming a Sgt. which is great! He decided to re-enlist which I'm so thankful for!! I'm doing great as well!! I've been in the gym everyday for about two and a half weeks and I've already lost 12 pounds. I'm so excited and proud of myself!!! I love the way I feel when I get home from working out!!! Anyway, I'm going to sleep because it's definitely 2:30 in the morning and I'm sleepy!!! More to come later!! I promise to try and keep this a little more up to date!!!

  • It's been a long, frusterating and tiring 6 days. My neighbor Megan is 26 weeks pregnant and had been having pains like a kidney stone. We went to the doc Sat, Sun, Monday and then Becky took her Tuesday night. Tuesday night they finally decided to run more tests....and she had gal stones (sp). She had to have her gal bladder removed yesterday. She's in a ton of pain. Why it's been so tiring is the hospital is 20 minutes away and I went back and forth three times yesterday. Spent the night with her but had to get up at 4 to come back and relieve my husband so he could go to work and I could watch Hunter and Abbi. Thank goodness someone is going to come and get Hunter for the day so I can rest a little while....She should be getting out today....but I guess we'll see. I know that me being tired is nothing compaired to her being in pain though. I hope that she gets out today....(sorry if this rambles and whatnot.) Her dad is coming in tonight until Sunday to try and help her out a little. So that's a good thing. Anyway, I'm gonna go and help Crystal get all Hunter's stuff!!

About Me

  • So, I suck at keeping this thing up, but I am married to a wonderful Marine who just got done doing his re-enlistment, so he is now owned by the USMC for four more years! I'm so proud of him. My daughter is now three and boy is growing and learning so much everyday! She is a little spitfire! Other than that, life is great!
